Math & Science Education for America's K-12 Students

    BeyondGPA has two goals:

    1. Strengthen math and science education for America's K-12 students.

    2. Reduce America's high school dropout rate.

The guiding principle of BeyondGPA is that it is students who can best help other students in mastering math and science (not only physics, chemistry and biology but also computer science) and in reducing the number of school dropouts.

Students must have the ability to draw on the collective intelligence of their peers and friends from around the country. BeyondGPA is the enabler of this service and a medium for nurturing America's gifted students.

BeyondGPA will also work with students in promoting the benefits of regular physical exercise and healthy eating habits. You can think of it as one component of the 'Beyond' in BeyondGPA.

While K-12 students are at the center of BeyondGPA, teachers, parents and concerned Americans also play important roles.

K-12 teachers can draw on the expertise of not only their peers but also the expertise of college and university professors in deepening the mastery of their subjects and in enhancing their teaching skills to help them reach the minds of their students.

Parents of K-12 students can share insights with each other about raising kids, steering them away from trouble, and instilling in them the values of hard work, discipline and responsibility.

Finally, concerned Americans from every walk of life - retired teachers, scientists, executives, engineers, businessmen, social workers, and others - can help with their knowledge and wisdom in conveying to our students the joy of learning and in raising the level of K-12 math and science education in our schools.
